What's the onboarding process like for employers?

Once your client finalizes their quote and clicks their sign-up link, they land on StretchDollar's sign-up page to begin Admin onboarding — the self-guided setup that gets their Benefits Portal account ready to send funds to employees. It typically takes about 10 minutes.

The steps, in order

  1. Confirm plan details — contribution amounts and start date.
  2. Complete account verification — identity checks required before the account can move money. See Why Your Client's Admin Is Asked for SSN, a Driver's License, and Beneficial Owner Info and Business Address vs. Mailing Address for what this involves and why.
  3. Add a bank account and make their first (binder) payment. See Connecting a Bank Account and Making the First (Binder) Payment.
  4. Add employees — once added, each employee automatically gets an email inviting them to enroll. See How does onboarding work for employees? for what happens next on their end.

Where clients get stuck

Verification is the most common friction point — identity and address requirements can feel intrusive to a first-time Admin. If your client stalls out here, see Helping a Client Who's Stuck During Account Verification.

Support is available at every step — both from you and from support@stretchdollar.com — but knowing what's coming ahead of time is the best way to keep a client moving through onboarding without stalling.
