ICHRA Partner Portal pricing: what's changing and when

The short version

The ICHRA Partner Portal is moving to a paid subscription for your agency, and the per-employee revenue share on your groups is changing. What that means for you depends on when your organization signed up.

Your organization Portal subscription Starting
Signed up on or after September 1, 2026 $99 / month, after a 30-day free trial At signup
Signed up before September 1, 2026, and activated a group on or before January 1, 2027 $0 — your free rate is honored —
Signed up before September 1, 2026, and has not activated a group by January 1, 2027 $99 / month January 1, 2027

Your clients’ pricing is unchanged: $100 per month plus $25 per enrolled employee per month. What changes is the split — StretchDollar will retain $3 of the $25 PEPM, and $22 stays with your agency.

Portal subscription — $99 per month

The portal subscription covers your organization’s access to the ICHRA Partner Portal: your book of business, group setup and activation, enrollment tracking for your clients’ employees, the quoting tool and Smart Rates, reporting, and StretchDollar’s support team standing behind your groups.

There is one subscription per organization, not per seat. Add as many producers, agents, and organizational admins to your org as you need — the price does not change.

Your billing date anchors to your organization’s signup date. If your org signed up on the 4th, you are billed on the 4th each month.

If your organization signs up on or after September 1, 2026

Your subscription is $99/month, and your first 30 days are free. Every new organization gets one free month, counted as 30 days from the moment you sign up.

Your first charge lands 30 days after signup, and monthly from there.

If your organization signed up before September 1, 2026

You joined the portal when it was free, and we are honoring that.

Through December 31, 2026 your organization stays at $0. No action needed, nothing changes.

Your free rate continues into 2027 if you activate a group on or before January 1, 2027. Activating means placing a client group on StretchDollar and getting it live — not just creating an account or adding a prospect.

If no group is activated by January 1, 2027, your organization moves to the standard $99/month subscription starting that day.

If you have a group in flight and you are worried about the date, tell us before the deadline rather than after. Reach out to your StretchDollar contact or email support@stretchdollar.com and we will look at where the group actually stands.

What your clients pay, and what you keep

Your employer clients continue to pay a $100 per month platform fee plus $25 per employee per month (PEPM) for each employee enrolled in a plan through StretchDollar. That client-facing pricing is not changing, and employers are still not billed for employees who do not enroll.

What changes is the PEPM split. Today you keep the full $25. Going forward, StretchDollar retains $3 per employee per month and $22 stays with your agency.

The new split follows the same schedule as the subscription: from September 1, 2026 for organizations that sign up on or after that date, and from January 1, 2027 for organizations that signed up before it.

StretchDollar’s $3 is collected on a trailing basis — only after funds have been collected from the client. We never deduct ahead of money arriving.

You continue to receive your commission for employees where you are the broker of record. That is separate from the PEPM and is unaffected.

Enterprise and white label

If you are an agency that needs a full white-label package — your brand end to end, custom implementation, and dedicated account management — that is handled as a separate arrangement rather than a published price.

Email support@stretchdollar.com with “Enterprise” in the subject line and a note about your agency size and what you are looking for, and we will route you to the right person.

Setting up billing

You will add a payment method in the portal under Settings → Billing. A few things worth knowing:

  • The portal subscription is paid by credit or debit card.
  • Any organizational admin on your org can add or update the payment method.
  • Adding billing details early does nothing to your free period. Your free month, or your grandfathered free rate, runs its full course either way.
  • Keeping a valid card on file is what keeps your organization in good standing once your paid period begins. If billing is not in place when your subscription starts, portal access for your organization can be limited until it is.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a contract or minimum term?

No. The portal subscription is month to month.

Does this cost my clients anything extra?

No. Your clients’ $100/month + $25 PEPM is unchanged. The $99/month portal subscription is your agency’s cost and is not passed through to them.

What counts as “activating a group”?

A client group placed on StretchDollar and live — set up, enrolled, and running. An account that exists but has no live group does not count. If you are unsure where a specific group stands, ask us and we will check.

We have multiple producers and agents. Do we pay per person?

No. One $99/month subscription covers the whole organization, however many people you add.

Does the $3 PEPM come out of my commission?

No. Your broker-of-record commission is separate and unaffected. The $3 comes out of the $25 PEPM only.

What if we do not want to continue?

Tell us before your paid period starts. If you have live client groups, do not simply stop — those employers and their employees have coverage running through StretchDollar, and we will work with you on a transition that does not leave anyone with a gap.

Can we pay annually?

Not today. Billing is monthly.

Who do I contact about a billing question?

support@stretchdollar.com, or your StretchDollar contact directly.
