Why can't my client's employee find the plan from the quote?
Your client's employee logged in to enroll, but the plan they saw in your quote isn't there? Here's why that happens and how to help them.
The plans in a quote are examples
The plans shown in a quote are a few example plans for the area. They show what coverage looks like at the contribution level you set. They aren't a specific plan picked for each employee. When enrolling, employees can choose any plan available to them.
Why the plan might not show up
- Different coverage year. Plans change every year. A plan quoted for this year may not be offered, or may be priced differently, for next year.
- Different address or household. Plans depend on the employee's home ZIP code, age and household. If these differ from the census used for the quote, the plans available will differ too.
- Where the employee is sent to shop. Depending on their state and your enrollment links, employees may shop on a state marketplace or another enrollment site, which may show plans differently. See Enrollment links: What they are and how to add them.
How to help your client's employee
- Confirm the employee's home ZIP code matches the one used in the quote. If their address in StretchDollar is wrong, email support to update it. From November 1, employees can also correct it themselves in the first step of their renewal, where they confirm their information.
- Make sure they're shopping for the right coverage year.
- Help them compare similar plans (same metal level, network and carrier, if available). Their allowance works the same way with any qualifying individual plan.
- Still stuck? Email support@stretchdollar.com with the employee's state, ZIP code and the plan name from the quote.
