Producer vs Broker vs Org Admin vs Employer Admin: Who Does What?
For agents: Most “I can’t do X in the portal” issues are actually a role mix-up. Use this map.
Four different roles
| Role | Where they log in | What they’re for |
| Producer | Partner Portal | Quotes, pipeline, converting employers to customers |
| Broker | Partner Portal | Help assigned employees enroll after the employer is live |
| Org Admin (Producer Admin / Broker Admin) | Partner Portal | Manage agency team invites and (Broker Admin) assignments — not the employer’s company settings |
| Employer Admin | Company Portal | Roster, policy/allowances, Account/Bank Setup, approve reimbursements, billing |
Quick “who can…” answers
- Generate / send / finalize quotes: Producer (and Producer Admin acting as a producer)
- Invite producers: Producer Admin
- Invite brokers / assign brokers to employees: Broker Admin
- Add employees to a company roster / approve reimbursements: Employer Admin only
- View employee enrollment progress for assigned employees: Broker
Org Admin ≠ Employer Admin. Agency admins manage people in the Partner Portal. Employer admins manage the client company in the Company Portal.
