Benefits Pending: Why an Employee Can't Start Enrollment

For agents: “Benefits pending” usually means the employer side isn’t ready for that employee — not that the employee forgot a password.

Most common cause

Employer allowances / policy budget aren’t configured for the employee (including budget still at zero or policy setup incomplete). Until that’s fixed in the Company Portal, the employee can’t start a normal enrollment experience.

Other blockers to check

  • Employee not invited / wrong email on roster
  • Employer still stuck in company onboarding
  • Employee marked ineligible / waived / deactivated

What to do

  1. Have Employer Admin confirm the employee is on the roster with correct email.
  2. Confirm employer policy/allowances are set for the right employment class.
  3. Resend invite after allowances are live.
  4. If still blocked, escalate to support@stretchdollar.com with employer + employee email.
